Ken's seniors show brings a sense of the old-style professional variety show. He is his own Master of Ceremonies, introducing the songs and telling humourous anecdotes & jokes suitable to a seniors audience.
A veteran musician, Ken has been making his living in entertainment since the mid '70s. He's had lots of fun along the way and brought even more fun to his audiences!
In this one-hour performance he sings, dances, plays piano (if there is one available), plays guitar and violin, as well as harmonica and "jew's harp". Much of the music is 'sing-along' material from the first half of the 1900's...Bicycle Built for Two, Long Way to Tiperary, I've Got Sixpence, Lili Marlene, Five Foot Two, Loverly Bunch of Coconuts, Shine On Harvest Moon, When You're Smiling, Pack up Your Troubles, etc. (and he does take requests).
A one-man variety show
"I love seeing some of the less animated members of my audience come alive as we sing the tunes they learned when they were children.
It seems that is one part of our memory that doesn't leave us."
